Balinese Ceremony Tanah Lot Temple
Bali is known all over the world as a tropical paradise where hundreds of thousands of tourists come every year to relax, party, experience cultural diversity and usually at some point of the holiday relax on the beach.
With so many beaches to choose from it's a small wonder that some of the best beaches in Bali are rarely seen by most tourists coming to the island.
We have classified our list of the best beaches in Bali not just by their visual beauty but also based upon what they have to offer, from busy areas to hidden peaceful beaches.

We hope you enjoy looking at our pick of the best beaches in Bali and on your next trip hope you get to enjoy visiting some of these locations. Our friendly English speaking drivers are always available to assist you in seeing the sites of Bali.

Amed Beach

Amed makes it onto our list of the best beaches in Bali for its beautiful remote location and for it's reputation of being one of the best snorkeling areas in the whole of Bali.
The waters around Amed is made up of beautiful coral reefs so for snorkelers and divers having 1/4 of the worlds marine life within the tropical waters surrounding Indonesian this really is a beautiful place to visit. The beach here is a black sand beach in most areas from the volcanic activity within the region yet this adds to the areas beauty.
Amed is situated approximately 3 1/2 hours on the East East of Bali.

Balangan Beach

Balangan Beach is lined with numerous traditional style warungs in bamboo thatched huts that sell traditional Indonesian foods and a selection of refreshing cold drinks.
Just around the corner from Dreamland beach which is now populated by numerous hotels this beach still holds a sense of real Bali in its more traditional form. The beach is predominantly frequented by surfers for the great waves as the beach is mainly rock but at high tide offers swimming opportunities.
Balangan is situated approximately 45 minutes South of Kuta.

Bias Tugel Beach (Padang Bai)

Bias Tungel is more commonly known as Padang Bai a beautiful white sand beach mostly frequented by surfers and the occasional snorkler. A small stretch of white sand beach with crystal clear waters is separated on both sides from the nearby beaches by rock and cliff making it a secluded paradise. Lining the beach there are a number of traditional style small bamboo or wooden huts with thatched roofs selling basic drinks and food.
To get to Bias Tugel travel 1 hour and 30 minutes from Kuta just past the Padang Bai Port.
Picture

Bingin Beach

Bingin is a photographers paradise mostly only known by surfers though well worth visiting for those who love the waves and those who do not. The beach has several local warungs selling cold drinks and traditional Indonesian foods which is lovely to enjoy in this location. The beach offers great waves for surfers on the reef however there is still room for swimmers to enjoy the tropical waters before the reef starts. There are also many great cheap accommodation areas right near this beautiful location.
Bingin Beach is located approximately 45 minutes from Kuta near Dreamland and Balangan.

Then ask a local to take you to Dream Beach or one of the many beautiful options on the island.
Picture

Dreamland Beach

Dreamland Beach while beautiful still is a beach many would say has had its beauty diminished by the amount of development over the last few years. Once lined with surf shacks and small traditional warungs now large hotels dominate the area.
It is still a beautiful location none the less though change has occurred the white sands and blue waters are inviting for swimming or surfing.
Dreamland is about 30 minutes drive from Kuta near Pecatu.
Picture
